ASMC Undertakes an Extensive Range of Surveys, Inspections and Audit. ASMC undertakes an extensive range of surveys, inspections and audits. While instructions are often for work on a specific vessel or facility, we also work with multiple vessels and even entire fleets. Due to our international network of offices, we can survey and inspect vessels and facilities anywhere in the world.
OMID / OVID:
We survey vessels employed in the offshore energy industry using both IMCA’s Common Marine Inspection Document (CMID) and the OCIMF Offshore Vessel Inspection Document (OVID).
CONDITION:
We carry out surveys to ascertain the overall condition of a vessel – hull, machinery, equipment, safety and security measures, management systems and certification are all inspected. Our report gives a clear picture of the vessel’s structure, Machinery, Maintenance, spares & store stocks, shortfall, immediate requirement together with risk assessment and costing tupgrade a vessel on taking over.
DUE DILIGENCE:
A due diligence survey is carried out on behalf of banks, finance houses, insurance companies and other third parties. Our survey includes comprehensive physical inspection of the internal structure, Machinery, Maintenance history & Calibration records, Major Spares & store stock, reviewing conditioning monitoring records, new building record, Third party inspection record, operating cost, Class survey history and certificate. On top of above, our report reflects the risk assessment and costing required to up grade the vessel on taking over,
DYNAMIC POSITIONING:
We perform thorough audits, inspections and trials of vessels fitted with dynamic positioning (DP) systems.
HATCH COVER INTEGRITY TESTING:
We use ultrasonic testing equipment to check the integrity of hatch covers and other hold fittings on bulk and general cargo ships.
ISM, ISPS AND MLC:
We carry out audits and assessments of vessel management systems, including ISM, ISPS (International Safety Management Code and International Ship and Port Security) and MLC in line with company Management System.
PRE & POST CHARTER:
We carry out surveys documenting the exact condition of a vessel, its machinery, equipment and consumables at the time it is taken on charter, and again on re-delivery to the owners.
PRE-PURCHASE:
ASMC performs pre-purchase surveys to confirm that the condition of the vessel. We carry out a comprehensive physical inspection of the internal structure, Machinery, Maintenance history & Calibration records, Major Spares & store stock, reviewing conditioning monitoring records, Class history and certificate. On top of above our report reflect the risk assessment and costing required to up grade the vessel on taking over,
